Grimmer was born on Nov. 20, 1979, to Charles and Linda (Turcio) Grimmer in New York City. She was a lead counselor at Open Gate in Somers.
She is survived by her parents, her husband Jason Jackson, her two children; Jason Alleric Jackson and Ty Jackson and her sister, Linda Jean Thomas.
A visitation will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28 and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29 at Cargain Funeral Homes, 10 Fowler Ave., Carmel.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 30, at St. James the Apostle R.C., 12 Gleneida Avenue, Carmel. Interment will follow at Rose Hills Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the following: Danbury Regional Hospice 30 Milestone Road, Danbury, CT 06810 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
