Marguerite C. Leder, 73, Taught At North Salem High School

BREWSTER, N.Y. - Marguerite 'Peggy' C. Leder of Brewster, formerly of Yonkers, died Monday, Nov. 11. She was 73.

Leder was born July 26, 1940, in Yonkers, daughter of Francis and Marjorie (Rippolone) Clowry. She graduated from SUNY Albany and the College of New Rochelle, where she received her Masters degree in Special Education Teaching.

She lived in Yonkers until 1979 when she moved to Brewster. She worked at Bedford Hills Correctional Facility as a teacher until 2006 when she retired. She also taught at North Salem High School and Our Lady of Good Council in White Plains, among others.

Leder is survived by her son, Robert Leder of Stamford; brother, Michael Clowry (Eileen) of Holmes; many nieces and nephews; and friends. She was predeceased by her parents.

Calling hours are Thursday, Nov. 14 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Ave., Brewster. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 15 at St. Joseph's Church, Croton Falls, followed by a private cremation.
