She was born Jan. 14, 1931, in Manhattan, the cherished daughter of the late Frank P. and Hazel E. (Klein) Smith.
She was employed by the American Bank Note Company Inc. until her retirement. She had a wonderful sense of humor, enjoyed traveling, cooking, and family summers on the New Jersey shore.
She is survived by her sister, Barbara M. Fazzio of Carmel; and several nieces, nephew, cousins, grand and great-grand nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Patricia E. Smith and Rose A. Kashey; brothers in-law, Joseph Fazzio and Emil Kashey; grand niece, Nicole Greco-Cafarelli; and nephew, Richard Kashey.
A funeral Mass was conducted Sept. 23, 2016 at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church in Carmel. Internment was in St. Raymond's Old Cemetery in the Bronx.
