Retired Event Planner Carmen Domingo Of Mahopac, 87

MAHOPAC, N.Y. -- Carmen Domingo, a Mahopac resident and retired event planner, died Tuesday, Nov. 22. She was 87.

Domingo was born April 3, 1929, in New York City, to Manuel and Maria Ochoa.

A former resident of Flushing, Queens, she had lived in Mahopac for 20 years.

Domingo, who was an event planner with General Electric in New York City, having retired in 1996.

She was a member of the Lake Mahopac Garden Club and the New Horizons Garden Club and also was a member of the 9th District of New York State Garden Clubs, where she served on its scholarship committee.

In addition to her husband, Joseph, Domingo is survived by sons David of Mahopac, and Joseph of Newington, Conn.; brother, Dr. Manuel Ochoa of Manhattan; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John The Evangelist Church, 221 E. Lake Blvd., in Mahopac. Burial will follow at Union Valley Cemetery, 730 Union Valley Road, Mahopac.
