Route 6 'Birdhouse Man' David Robinson, 82, Somers Native

Somers native David C. Robinson, formerly of Ossining, died July 19, 2017, after a long illness. He was 82.

Many knew David Robinson as the "Birdhouse man," because he would sit and sell homemade birdhouses along Route 6 in Yorktown.

He was raised in Somers by Pauline and Joseph Schreier. Many knew him as the "Birdhouse man," who would sit and sell homemade birdhouses along Route 6 in Yorktown.

Robinson is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Amelia (Lobus); 3 daughters Celine (Ronald) Karabinos, Stephanie (Richard) Frommelt, and Sheila (Anthony) De Rosa ; 5 grandchildren Andrea, Eric, Adam, and Elaina Karabinos and Rich Frommelt, also his brother George Fiero and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral mass was held at St. Ann’s Church in Ossining with interment will follow at St. Augustine’s Cemetery in Ossining.
