KATONAH, N.Y. – Sheila Rhea Gins, of Purdys and formerly of Katonah, died at home on Wednesday, May 13, of brain cancer. She was 63.
Gins was born on Jan. 29, 1952, to Bailey and Margie Cowan, in Greenwich, Conn. She was raised in England and returned to the United States to attend Skidmore College, graduating in 1974.
She worked in real estate, managing New York City condominiums along with spending time at Coldwell Banker in Katonah.
Gins is survived by her ex-husband, Roger, their son Erik of Oak Bluffs, Mass.; brother Dickinson Cowan, two sisters, Sanda Belcher and Jennifer Helme, all of England, and her sister and brothers-in-law.
A memorial service will be held at St. James Episcopal Church in North Salem at 11 a.m on June 13.
Arrangements are by Clark Associates Funeral Home, located at 4 Woods Bridge Road in Katonah.
