North Salem Man Injured As Car Crashes Into Stone Wall In Danbury

DANBURY, Conn. -- Four people were sent to Danbury Hospital with injuries after a car slammed into a stone wall and a large tree early Friday on Aunt Hack Road, police said. 

Police received a report of a serious accident at 1:16 a.m. Friday in the area of 74 Aunt Hack Road.

Eugene Orsher of Wilton was operating a 2014 Volkswagen northbound on Aunt Hack Road when it left the roadway and struck a stone wall and a large tree, police said.

Orsher 22, had to be extricated from the car by Danbury firefighters and transported by ambulance to Danbury Hospital with injuries, police said. 

Passengers Andrew Gillies, 25, of Ridgefield; Anthony Kipikasha, 40, of North Salem N.Y.; and Jason Matts, 40, of Patterson N.Y., were also taken to Danbury Hospital by ambulance for treatment of injuries.

This crash is being investigated by the Danbury Police Traffic Division.
