Troopers from the Livingston barracks stopped Michael J. Bruno on State Route 23 in Hillsdale for failing to maintain his designated lane of travel. An investigation revealed that he was impaired by drugs at the time of the stop, police said. He was charged with felony DWAI drugs due to a previous DWI-related conviction from January, 2016. He was also charged with operating a motor vehicle with revoked driving privileges.

Bruno was arraigned in the Town of Claverack Court and remanded to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $1,500 cash bail. He is due to appear in Hillsdale Court at a later date and time.
