A 20-year-old woman was arrested for numerous drug offenses following complaints from local residents who said she acted "suspicious," according to Danbury Police.

Alexandria Whitlock was arrested by members of the department's Special Investigations Division, the Community Conditions Unit (CCU) and patrol officers following an investigation into illegal drug sales at her residence at 68 Virginia, Unit 13, said Det. Lt. Mark Williams.

Williams said for the past several weeks the Danbury Police Department had received numerous complaints about the resident of unit #13 acting suspiciously. It was said that she would meet people in the parking lot for very short periods of time before they drove off and her reentering her residence, he added.

On the afternoon of Feb. 2,  a surveillance of Whitlock’s residence was conducted by investigators of the S.I.D. During that time, Whitlock was observed selling illegal drugs to the occupant of a car that stopped in front of her residence. As the two separated, investigators stopped both parties. Whitlock was still holding the money from the transaction, Williams said.

The operator of the car, Christina Guerrero, was later issued an infraction for possession of marijuana and released and Whitlock was later arrested and transported to the police department.

During the search of Whitlock’s residence, investigators found several ounces of marijuana packed for sale, drug paraphernalia and a small amount of US currency, all of which were seized as evidence.

Whitelock was charged with possession of a controlled substance, the sale of a controlled substance, three counts of possession with a prohibited space and possession of drug paraphernalia.
