ARMONK, N.Y. -- A 20-year-old woman from Armonk and a 20-year-old woman from Bedford were arrested on Sunday morning by New York state police after being stopped on Interstate 684.

State troopers allegedly found Stephanie Cowell of Bedford to be intoxicated when they were called to assist her disabled vehicle.

Cowell allegedly tested for a .18 percent blood-alcohol level during a breathalyzer test. She is charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated.

State police also arrested the car's passenger, Caitlin Walsh of Armonk. Walsh allegedly obstructed the administration of Standardized Field Sobriety Testing upon Cowell and physically resisted arrest.

Cowell is charged with second-degree obstruction of governmental administration, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

Each woman was ticketed to appear in the Town of Bedford Court on Dec. 12.

...and the Million Dollar question is:

If you know you are driving under the influence, why on Earth would you call the police? Park the car, walk home and fix it in the morning.

It like calling the police to say your friend stole all your marijuana.
