Brewster Man Stopped For Equipment Violation Charged With DWI

SOUTHEAST, N.Y. -- A Brewster man faces charges of aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, after he was pulled over for an equipment violation, state police said.

Byron H. Brewer, 41, was stopped on Old Doansburg Road on Monday and arrested after the trooper found him to be intoxicated, police said.

Police said Brewer provided a breath sample that revealed a blood alcohol content of 0.20 percent, which is more than two times the legal limit.

He was ticketed and ordered to appear in Southeast Town Court on Tuesday, Feb. 23, police said.
