Employee Faces Charges After Incident At Southeast Company

SOUTHEAST, N. Y. -- A 33-year-old Connecticut man is facing a criminal mischief charge after Putnam County Sheriff's Police arrested him Thursday in connection with a report of a man using a broom to cause damage at Powers Fasteners in Southeast, police said.

Raven J. Bachetti of Alder Lane in New Milford, Conn., is being held in the Putnam County Correctional Facility pending arraignment on one count of third-degree misdemeanor criminal mischief, police said.

Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith said in a statement that sheriff's police answered a call about 1 p.m. March 30 about a company employee "acting out" at the business, police said. The broom caused damage to a garage door window and frame, police said.
