Golf Cart Flips Over At North Salem Club

NORTH SALEM, N.Y. – A man playing golf Wednesday afternoon at the Pequenakonck Country Club lost control of his golf cart as he was descending a hill, causing the cart to flip over. The driver suffered a large cut to his forehead and possible concussion, along with scrapes and bruises to his legs. He was taken to Danbury Hospital by the North Salem Volunteer Ambulance Corps. A passenger in the cart was not injured.

North Salem Police also reported the following incidents:

Fire Alarm Activated: A fire alarm at a house on Nash Road summoned the Croton Falls Fire Department around dinnertime on Wednesday. Firefighters removed a window to gain access to the building, inspected the site and found no problems. The Fire Department left a note for the owner describing the incident.

Stolen Mailbox: A resident of Cat Ridge Road in Purdys reported that his mailbox had been stolen Saturday night. 

Rider Falls From Horse: A rider fell off her horse at Old Salem Farm on Sunday morning and may have broken her collar bone. North Salem Police and the North Salem Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded and transported the woman to Northern Westchester Hospital for treatment.
