The crash happened around 6:30 a.m. at Hardscrabble Road (Exit 8) and caused stop-and-go delays to Exit 10 ( Route 6/Route 202/Route 22) until about 8 a.m., said New York State Police Trooper A.J. Hicks.

One police officer and two K-9 officers were involved in the crash, Westchester County police spokesman Kieran O'Leary said.

The officer was treated and released at Northern Westchester Hospital, and both dogs were checked out as a precaution by a veterinarian and were deemed fine, O'Leary said.
