Juries To Deliberate This Week In North Salem Abduction Trials

NORTH SALEM, N.Y. -- Two juries are expected to begin deliberating this week in the joint trial of two men accused of abducting a New Jersey drug dealer, driving him to a wooded area in North Salem, beating him and leaving him to die, according to a story on LoHud.com.

Travis Morin, 25, of Danbury, N.H., and Patrick Smith, 26, of Lehigh Acres, Fla., are on trial in the death of Epifanio Medina, 65, of Passaic, N.J., a marijuana dealer whose decomposing body was discovered June 12, 2011, by two horseback riders, the website's story said.

The nearly monthlong trial featured the testimony of relatives, police and Jessica French, 26, an aspiring model who turned state’s evidence, the website's story said.

French has pleaded guilty to robbery in a plea agreement with prosecutors.
