A 59-year-old man was nabbed by Carmel Police for driving while intoxicated after being stopped for not having tail lights, according to Carmel police.
John Anderson of Mahopac was stopped recently after officers noticed he didn't have operable tail lights. During the stop, officers determined that Anderson was drunk and that he didn't have a driver's license, police said.
They also discovered his taillights were out because he had never turned on his headlights.
Anderson was charged with felony aggravated unlicensed operation, DWI, and driving without headlights, police said.
He was released on his own recognizance pending a future court date
