Man Stopped In Right Lane Of I-84 In Southeast Charged With DWI

SOUTHEAST, N.Y. -- New York State Police charged a Connecticut man with aggravated driving while intoxicated on Interstate 84 in Southeast on Sunday, Feb. 1, according to officials.

Troopers stopped to check on the welfare of Carlos A. Palta, 41, who was allegedly stopped in the right lane of I-84, police said. 

Palta provided a breathalyzer sample that yielded a blood alcohol concentration of .22 percent. He was arrested and is scheduled to appear in Southeast Court on Thursday, police said.
