Man Taken Into Custody On Arrest Warrant In Yorktown

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. – Steven Tarrats, a 21-year-old Brooklyn resident, was arrested Thursday on an arrest warrant issued by the Yorktown Justice Court on an harassment charge in the second degree, a violation, according to Yorktown police.

Police said an arrest warrant was issued in September 2012 for Tarrats, who was accused of striking another resident at Phoenix Academy in August 2012. Tarrats was taken into custody on Thursday at Rikers Correctional Facility and transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters for processing, police said.

Tarrats was processed at Yorktown police headquarters and later arraigned in Yorktown Justice Court. He was released on $100 cash bail. He is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Thursday, May 21, at 6 p.m.
