Afraid of continuing the drive home, he pulled over at the Swan Deli in Purdys. - A fire broke out in the oil burner of a Mills Road residence on Saturday afternoon, when a LEGO block fell through a vent and landed on a heat exchanger. The Croton Falls Volunteer Fire Department responded and secured the property. No one was injured.
- Just about midnight on New Year’s Eve, an Elizabeth Drive resident discovered that the house keys had inadvertently been locked inside his car along with the car keys. Officer Dennis Cullen contacted Sgt. Caputo, who responded with a vehicle lock-out device and retrieved the keys.
