North Salem Cyclist Hit By Deer Suffers Serious Injuries

NORTH SALEM, N.Y. – A North Salem resident cycling along Delancey Road early Thursday evening was struck by a deer dashing across the road and seriously injured, according to New York State Police.

In addition to the New York State Police, responders included the North Salem Police Department, the Croton Falls Fire Department, the North Salem Volunteer Ambulance Corps and Westchester EMS Paramedics.

The victim was transported to the Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, police said.
