Miguel A. Morales, 58, was charged with felony second-degree assault following the incident that occurred around 5:27 p.m. on Sugar Hill Road, said Trooper Melissa McMorris on Monday.
When troopers responded to the call for a domestic incident, they found that Morales had stabbed the 62-year-old female victim several times with a kitchen knife following a verbal argument. The victim was transported to Westchester Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Morales was remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash bail or $15,000 bond. He is due to appear in the Town of North Salem Court on Monday, McMorris said.
