Fabian B. Barrett, 34, of Uniondale, and Romique A. Meyers, 35, of Saint Albans, were busted Saturday on drug charges after New York State Troopers came upon their disabled car on the parkway near East Fishkill, said Trooper AJ Hicks.

While checking on the vehicle, troopers discovered the men were in possession of five ounces of cocaine, and a small quantity of marijuana, Hicks said.

Both were charged with felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Barrett and Meyers were arraigned at the Town of East Fishkill Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail without bail.

They are scheduled to appear in court on March 9.
