Police Pursue Suspect Last Seen Fleeing After December Route 6 Crash

CORTLANDT, N.Y. -- New York State Police are asking for the public's help in locating a man wanted for fleeing from the scene of a traffic crash, said state police.

Jermaine  D. Hughley, 24, is wanted on charges of falsifying business records, reckless endangerment, and unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, following a pursuit that occurred on Dec. 27, 2016, state police said.

Hughley crashed the vehicle he was operating on State Route 6 and fled the scene on foot to avoid being taken into custody for an outstanding warrant for falsifying business records, state police added.

He is described as being a black male, 6-foot-4, 250 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
