BREWSTER, N.Y. – An uptick in the amount of stolen cars and other thefts around Putnam County has prompted state police to urge residents to secure their vehicles and valuables.
State police are warning Putnam County residents about a recent rash of car thefts and burglaries. These crimes could be prevented most of the time if owners would only lock their vehicles and secure their valuables, police said.
