State Police In Somers, Brewster Issue Alert After Rash Of Car Larcenies

New York State Police from the Brewster barracks and Somers barracks and the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department have issued an alert to residents of Westchester and Putnam counties to lock their vehicles.

The warning follows a string of car larcenies in residential neighborhoods and are facilitated by residents who leave their car keys and valuables unsecured within their cars.

Police did not name specific streets or neighborhoods that have seen larcenies of late.

Residents are also advised not to leave any valuables in their automobiles.
