NORTH SALEM, N.Y. -- A North Salem therapist forcibly touched a 19-year-old patient while she was receiving therapy, New York state police said Friday.

Mark Bernardini, 57, has been charged with forcible touching, a misdemeanor, in a police investigation involving allegations made by the woman, police said.

Bernardini works out of his North Salem home, as well as a Bronxville office. State police say the incident occurred in May at Bernardini's North Salem office.

Bernardini will appear in North Salem Town Court on Monday at 6:30 p.m.
