DANBURY, Conn. — A 19-year-old Danbury man was Monday morning in connection with a shooting last month in broad daylight, police said.
At 3 p.m. Feb. 24, officers responded to the Danbury Hospital emergency room on a report of a gunshot victim, police said.
Officers and investigators from the Detective Bureau interviewed the adult male victim, who had suffered a non-life-threatening wound to his leg, police said.
The shooting had occurred on Chestnut Street in Danbury earlier that morning, police said.
Through the investigation, detectives determined that Christopher Watson was as suspect and obtained a warrant for his arrest.
Detectives located Watson at his residence at 11 a.m. Monday, and he was taken into custody without incident, police said.
Watson was charged with first-degree assault and carrying a pistol without a permit. He was held on $75,000 bond.
