Mikayel Zullo, 21,  Nakia Williams, 23, and  Shakiem Walker, 20, all of Danbury, were busted following the execution of a court-authorized search warrant by members of the Danbury Police Department’s Special Investigations Division, the Community Conditions Unit and the Patrol Division on Feb. 8 at 155 White St., Unit 4.

The warrants were issued as a result of an investigation that began months earlier in response to citizen complaints related to Zullo selling illegal drugs from the apartment and throughout the Danbury area, said Det. Lt. Mark Williams.

Based on a surveillance of Zullo and other investigative techniques, investigators detected activity consistent with drug trafficking, he added.

Zullo was detained as he entered the driveway of his residence accompanied by Williams and Walker. During the search, officers found a substantial quantity of marijuana and cash in both the apartment and in his vehicle, Williams said.

All three were arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled within a distance of a prohibited place, possession of drug paraphernalia.

They were released after processing.
