Woman, 25, Charged With DWI In Southeast

SOUTHEAST, N.Y. -- A Connecticut woman who was injured when her vehicle overturned and hit a shed in Southeast was charged with driving while intoxicated, according to the Putnam County Sheriff's Department.

On Nov. 21 at 1:38 a.m., police responded to a 911 report of a property damage auto accident on Milltown Road, according to police.

When officers arrived they found a vehicle that had been driven off of the roadway and overturned into a shed, police said.

The driver identified as Victoria E. Mednick, 25, of Milford, Conn., was injured and allegedly intoxicated, according to police. She was transported to Danbury hospital, arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, according to police.

Mednick will be required to appear in the Town of Southeast Justice Court at a later date to answer the charges, police said.
