Police said Gomes was involved in a personal injury accident on Route 35 and a police officer was assigned to investigate, police said.
At the conclusion of the investigation, police found that Gomes was driving while intoxicated. Gomes was transported to Hudson Valley Hospital Center for treatment where she submitted to a blood test to determine her blood alcohol content, and where she remained for treatment, police said.
Gomes surrendered herself at Yorktown headquarters where she was arrested and processed. She was released on her own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Jan. 29 at 6 p.m. for arraignment.
