Woman Destroys TVs, Steals Other Items In Northern Westchester, Police Say

A 28-year-old Northern Westchester woman is behind bars after state police say she entered the home of an acquaintance and destroyed three televisions and stole other items.

Troopers responded to Albany Post Road in the town of Cortlandt for a report of burglary on Monday, March 23 at approximately 6:30 p.m.

An investigation determined Brittany Wilson of Peekskill illegally entered a dwelling of a person known to her. Wilson destroyed three televisions then stole shoes, a designer bag, and personal care items belonging to the victim, state police from the Cortlandt barracks said. After determining the identity of the suspect, Wilson was located and arrested in the Bronx.

She's been charged with burglary in the second degree, a Class C felony, and criminal mischief in the third degree, a Class E felony.

Wilson was arraigned before the Town of Cortlandt Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
