Assemblyman David Buchwald (D-White Plains) is joining with six other members of the Westchester Assembly delegation to invite the public, community leaders, municipal and school officials to offer comments on the governor’s proposed New York State budget for 2015-16.

The open forum will be held at Greenburgh Town Hall at 177 Hillside Ave. in Greenburgh. From 2-4 p.m., general comments will be heard on all aspects of the budget, and from 4-6 p.m., the focus will be on the education portion of the budget.

Persons who wish to testify are asked to contact Assemblymember Shelley Mayer's (D-Yonkers) office. Those testifying are asked to limit their oral presentations to three minutes, to allow for as many people as possible. Written testimony would be appreciated. Bring copies of your testimony to the public forum.

It is important that you register to testify so that those planning to do so may be notified in the event of postponement or cancellation of the forum, and a schedule of presenters can be organized to make the most efficient use of time.

In addition to Buchwald and Mayer, other Assembly members expected at Monday's forum are Amy Paulin, D-Scarsdale; J. Gary Pretlow, D-Mount Vernon; Steve Otis, D-Rye; Thomas Abinanti, D-Pleasantville and Sandra Galef, D-Ossining.

The contact for the hearing is Rachel Estroff in Mayer’s office, at 914-779-8805, email mayers@assembly.state.ny.us for questions regarding testimony at this forum.
