Dowdle’s expertise, passion and salesmanship are evident in a series of videos produced by NBC 4 in New York and featured in the “Open House” section of their website.

“I think it helps bring the property alive and shows how much fun they are,’’ said Dowdle, who has been doing the videos for seven years. “It shows the lifestyle of the homes.”

The videos show each home’s character and amenities, but the star of the show is always Dowdle. She drives cool cars provided by Bob Torre to each shoot, and changes outfits frequently. In one recent video for River Bend Farm in Bedford, Dowdle appeared in a black dress, horse riding outfit and angler’s wardrobe. In another video, Dowdle swam laps in the home’s pool.

“I’m a runner and a rider,’’ Dowdle said. “I exercise every day and love swimming, it’s my favorite. It helps with my energy level.”

The videos take all day to produce. Dowdle provides lunch for the entire crew, and she writes all of her material. When she first started making them, producers tried to give Dowdle scripts.

“It just wasn’t jiving,’’ Dowdle said. “I said let me sell the house like I’m used to. It was much more natural.”

Dowdle now feels comfortable each time she makes a video. “I approach each one like it’s going to be the best show we’ve ever done,’’ she said. “I write the whole script, do all the outfits, have all the props lined up and arrange for them to get transported. It’s a big day. But I’m very organized about it.”

Dowdle grew up in Mount Kisco as one of 11 children. An avid equestrian, she has ridden nearly every trail throughout Northern Westchester. Trail riding with her husband, Jimmy, and son, George, is among her favorite activities.

She has closed over a half billion in residential sales since 2000, and has received the highest honor bestowed by the Westchester County Board of Realtors, The Diamond Award of Excellence, for the past 19 years. She is also active as a member of the Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Club of Westchester.

“I so enjoy showing these amazing properties ,’’ Dowdle said. “Doing these videos is an extension of that. I love my job, and I hope that comes across in these videos. It’s a creative way to market properties, and it really does work.”
