Late last week, officials say that Winchester, Virginia resident Sean Lloyd Roberts, 49, was stopped by a sheriff's deputy for what started as a routine traffic stop that ultimately landed him behind bars.
Officials say that on March 21, Roberts was stopped while driving in the westbound lanes of I-70 in Frederick, during which he was found to be in possession of drugs and a weapon, leading to his arrest.
During the investigation, deputies seized:
- 17.6 grams of methamphetamine;
- 2.7 grams of crack cocaine;
- 7.0 grams of fentanyl;
- 13.7 grams of “Boot” (Chemical methamphetamine);
- A Smith and Wesson .380 handgun.
Roberts was charged with:
Four counts of possession of not marijuana;
- Possession of paraphernalia;
- Loaded handgun in a vehicle;
- Handgun in a vehicle;
- Illegal possession of ammunition;
- Illegal possession of a regulated firearm;
- Possession of a firearm with a previous felony conviction.
No details about Roberts' next court appearance was announced by the Frederick County Sheriff's Office.
