NORTH SALEM, N.Y. -- Fifty-seven students at North Salem High School from the Class of 2013 and the Class of 2014 have earned the designation of AP Scholar from the College Board in recognition of their exceptional achievement on the college-level Advanced Placement Program exams.
Members of the Class of 2013 to be recognized as AP Scholars with Distinction are Noemie Bechu, Brenna Brown, Brianna Caleri, Jacqueline Carames, Catherine Devey, Wade Dworaczyk, Jaime Osleeb, Alexa Putillo, Alexa Salvato, Jason Teplensky and Kevin Zajc.
Members of the Class of 2014 to be recognized as AP Scholars with Distinction are Caleigh Andersen, Olivia Barnard, David Schaub, Daniel Selzer, Eliza Sullivan and Stephen Wiederhorn.
These students earned an average grade of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken and grades of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams.
David Christie, Madeline Lenchner, Scott Martin, Christina Storino and Renee Zambelletti of the Class of 2013 and Emma Allen, Sean Devey, Cecilia Diehl, Brian Giacchetto, Victoria Holt, Samuel Lidsky, Garrett Littenberg, Taylor Pohl, Matthew Tessler, Linda Wang and Kelly Wing of the Class of 2014 qualified for the AP Scholar with Honor Award. They earned an average grade of at least 3.25 on all AP exams taken, and grades of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams.
Twenty four students qualified for the AP Scholar Award by completing three or more AP exams with grades of 3 or higher.
AP Scholars from the class of 2013 are Luke Batchelder, Aaron Chandler, Phoebe Coughlin, Austin Cutler, Emma Damiani, Caitlin Franze, Micky Jacobsen, Ryan Kelly, Daniel Ketterer, James Langelotti, Irene Olivera, Lauren Seymour, Sophie Smadbeck and Lea Trageser. AP Scholars from the class of 2013 are Thomas Bond, Reilly Cotter, Kelly Gilbert, Cecilia Heffernan, Malavika Kalarikkal-Puthoor, Connor Murphy, Tomas Salaveria, Tomasz Stefankowski and Stephen Winston. Emory Nager from the Class of 2015 has also earned the distinction of AP Scholar.
North Salem High School offers 15 AP courses: Biology, calculus AB, calculus BC, chemistry, English literature, English language, physics, Spanish, French, statistics, world history, European history, U.S. History, studio art, and environmental science.
