The show is set for 7 p.m. Friday, March 14, and Saturday, March 15, with a 1 p.m. matinee showing on Sunday, March 16, at Fox Lane High School.

“The passing of Marvin Hamlisch last year prompted us to start thinking about a way to celebrate his remarkable musical career, and "Smile," one of his lesser known efforts seemed right to me since we are in a period where we have many wonderful girl performers and fewer male ones,” said director Ed Steele. “If you go to YouTube, you can follow the initial production through auditions to Broadway on a famous "60 Minute" segment that aired at that time.” This production includes musical direction by Sarah Fay and choreography by Josie Bielmeier. Rob Martin will handle technical direction for the show.

"Smile," features music by Hamlisch and book and lyrics by Howard Ashman and is "a satirical portrait following the intrigue and exploits onstage and behind-the-scenes as Santa Rosa, California plays host to the Young American Miss Pageant," representatives said.

The cast includes Sam Grant, Danny Bronico, Harry Rose, Nick Winzig, Ben Davis-Lorton, Myles Grimes, Sarah Appedu, Luke Vancraeynest, Brittany Dassa, Catiana Tron, Laura Quinn, Lydia Ozcelik, Emily Politi, Dayna Weintraub, Hadley Talty, Emma McCormick, Lindsay Eichorn, Emma Goodman, Sara Gilbert, Sophia LeBlanc, Kayla Pereira, Julia Berliner, Jean Leong, Julia Tilley, Julia Berliner, Jehan Miah and Matt Bronico. Technical staff is led by Wyatt Messenger and Matt Weeks.

Tickets are on sale at The Players Box Office at 914-864-3499 or at the Fox Lane Players website. For further information, residents can call Steele at 914-241-6000, ext. 6579.
