The two men, Ryan Olsen, 29 and Jesse Hitchcock, 29, were stopped about 9:45 p.m., by members of the Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Enforcement Unit while they were patrolling Secor Road in Mahopac, Capt. William McNamara said.
During the stop, deputies found that both men were in possession of cocaine, heroin, and hypodermic needles, McNamara said.
Both were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a hypodermic needle, McNamara added.
They were released on their own recognizance, with a future court date.
If found guilty of the charges, they could face up to a year in jail and a fine of up to $1,000 on each count.
