NSHS was ranked 49th in the state, good for 15th-best in Westchester County.
Carmel, at No. 136, was the top-ranked Putnam-based high school.
North Salem's student population of 693 met or exceeded the state average in all of the surveys major metrics, which included: College readiness, mathematics proficiency and English proficiency. The school also boasts an Advanced Placement participation rate of 61 percent.

- Fox Lane (No. 46)
The top ranked high school in New York was The High School of American Studies in the Bronx.
