Principal Patricia Cyganovich sent home a letter Tuesday urging parents to beware of the game, which involves students chasing each other with water guns and attempting to “kill” their opponents.

The “surviving” participants receive a cash prize, derived from the entrance fee required to play, according to the letter.

“’Assassination’ gives young people the message that violent actions are appropriate and fun,” Cyganovich wrote.

“At a time when we seem to learn daily about the senseless loss of lives not only in our nation but throughout the world, engaging in a game designed to ‘kill’ another human being seems especially inappropriate.”
