NORTH SALEM, N.Y. Word has come from Elmira College that Nicholas Brown, a history major from North Salem, has been named to the Deans List for the fall 2011 term. Elmira College is a small private institution in the Finger Lakes district of upstate New York.
Purdys resident John Madigan, in the sixth form (12th grade) at the Kent School in Kent, Conn., has been named to the Kent Honor Roll for the 2011-12 winter term. Kent is a co-ed college preparatory school with an enrollment of 560 students, both boarders and day students.
Caitlin Pooley of North Salem, a junior at the Westminster School in Simsbury, Conn., earned honors for the winter 2012 term. Westminster is a private co-ed preparatory school, founded nearly 125 years ago.
