The candidates for Board Trustee are incumbents Katherine Daniels and Deborah D’Agostino, and challengers Julie Cherico and Jennifer Binette. Trustees serve three-year terms.

North Salem’s proposed budget falls below the allowable tax levy cap, yet maintains all current programs and services, including athletics. Class sizes meet or fall below the district’s optimum class size guidelines.

In addition to the proposed budget, Proposition #2 will appear on the ballot to seek voters' approval for various safety and security upgrades to the schools.

Voters must be citizens of the United States, at least 18 years of age, and must have resided in the school district since any time before April 21, 2013. If you are a registered voter but have not voted within the last four years, you must re-register at the Office of the District Clerk. The deadline for registering was May 16. If you have voted, there is no need to re-register.

Voting will take place on May 21 between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. at the Pequenakonck Elementary School, 173 June Road, North Salem.
