Sophie De Leo, a North Salem resident, “clearly shows dispositions of being resilient, intentional, and persistent,” said Peter Lingenheld, middle school dean of students, in a press release.
“She is always smiling, respectful, and is just a sweet kid.”
Lingenheld also described Sophie as “gentle,” referring to the concepts of the Wooster School prayer of being gentle, generous, truthful, kind, and brave.
“(She also) has a creative streak that is wider than the oceans, and in many ways her creations in art and in life also have a really positive effect on people,” Lingenheld said.
“(Sophie) is noted for creations in the studio that capture her observant nature, attention to detail, and genuine spirit.”
