The youth lacrosse program relies on community contributions to help fund its programs and all are invited to join friends and community members for dinner, drinks and a silent auction at the annual John Jay Youth Lacrosse Dinner and Auction at Waccabuc Country Club, Saturday, June 3 at 7 p.m.
All proceeds go back to the lacrosse programs for kids in Katonah-Lewisboro. Tickets are $85 per person, $160 per couple and can be purchased at www.jjyl.org.
Items donated to the auction so far include lacrosse camps run by current and former All-Americas, NCAA champions and Major League Lacrosse stars, including: Paul Carcaterra’s Hometown lacrosse camp; PrimeTime Lacrosse’s Molding Academy with Major League Lacrosse and Team USA stars Ned Crotty (Rochester Rattlers), Drew Adams (New York Lizards), & Greg Gurenlian (New York Lizards); and the x10 Lacrosse camp, run by JJYL and John Jay alum Michael Bocklet of the Major League Lacrosse defending champion Denver Outlaws. Other items include lacrosse gear, a stick from Powell Lacrosse, training sessions with John Jay varsity players, sports memorabilia, tickets, local goods and services from community businesses and personal shopping services.
