North Salem Girls Soccer Beats Pleasantville To Advance To Sectional Semis

NORTH SALEM, N.Y. -- The North Salem girls soccer team edged Pleasantville, 2-1 in overtime to advance to the Class B section semifinals on Tuesday, according to LoHud.com

With the game locked in a 1-1 tie, the Tigers' Kim Murphy found the back of the net just three minutes into the overtime period, LoHud.com reported. 

The Tigers took a 1-0 lead in the second half on a goal by Paige Werlau, but failed to maintain the lead when Pleasantville's Remi Manna netted a header to tie the game just five minutes later, LoHud.com said. 

The third seeded Tigers will face the reigning Section One champion, second seeded Bronxville on Thursday, Oct. 31, according to LoHud.com.
