North Salem Senior Noemi Bechu Wins State Gold In Track

NORTH SALEM, N.Y. – North Salem High School senior Noemi Bechu won the New York State Championship in the 200-meter run on Saturday at Middletown High School.

Bechu also broke her own school record for the event. She holds six school records in track and field and “is the most decorated runner in North Salem history,” according to an email from North Salem Booster Club secretary Mark Ribaudo.

Brenna Brown of North Salem placed fourth in the state in the Pentathalon event and Cullin Burdett placed ninth.
