NORTH SALEM, N.Y. – A team of young swimmers from North Salem's Lakeside Field Club captured the gold medal in the 200-yard medley relay at the Northern Westchester Swimming Conference (League Division II) Championships on Saturday, Aug. 4.

The four-person team competed against Briarcliff, Cortlandt, Katonah, Lewisboro and Pound Ridge, winning in an outstanding time of 2:52:53 minutes.

In addition to receiving gold medals, the team qualified to represent the League II Division Sunday, Aug. 5, at the All-Stars Swim Meet, where they placed third and beat Saturday's time by 10 seconds.

The four boys on the team are Steven Prosperino, Rian Balbino and Aidan Robin, all of North Salem, and Brett D'Alexander of Ridgefield.
