NORTH SALEM, N.Y. – North Salem’s Youth Soccer team, the White Tigers U12, started its new season Saturday at the Rye Brook Soccer Tournament by winning the championship.

North Salem defeated one Rye Brook team, tied another, defeated a Somers team and won against an Ossining team. The Tigers scored six goals altogether and accumulated 10 points.

This gave North Salem its first 2013 tournament championship and its first trophy of the year. Last year, the White Tigers ended its Westchester Youth Soccer League season undefeated.
