SOMERS, N.Y. -- New York Yankees short stop Didi Gregorius visited the Summer Trails Day Camp in Somers on July 21 to teach the campers about sportsmanship and a thing or two about life on the baseball diamond.

Gregorius taught correct techniques while sharing insight about America’s favorite pastime and signing autographs for the kids of the camp located on a private 20-acre facility in northern Westchester County.

The Summer Trails Day Camp features a wildlife-filled lake, two heated swimming pools, nature trails, spacious ball fields, as well as athletic and creative arts facilities.

Since 1974, the organization has offered a Summer Trails Day Camp and Baseball Camp for players ages 8-13. Current and former Major League players and coaches stop by throughout the summer to lend their expertise to the camp designed to build confidence and self-esteem by reinforcing positive human values.
