Dog Bite Is Demise For Sex Offender From Rockville On The Run, Cops Say
A Maryland man wanted for sex crimes was arrested in Pennsylvania, all because of his dog, police said.
Pennsylvania State Police troopers responded to a call of a "dog bite victim" on Tuesday, April 30 along a stretch of East King Street in Abbotstown, they said in a release.
There, they found Jeffrey Garcia, 31, of Rockville, MD, the dog's owner, police said. It wouldn't take long for troopers to discover that Garcia was wanted on two warrants for sex assault out of Maryland, PSP said.
Garcia was arrested without incident and taken to the Adams County Prison for his arraignment.

Ohio Man High On Cocaine Caused Quintple Fatal Crash At MD/PA Line: Coroner
A toxicology report has revealed that the driver of a Honda Accord was on cocaine when he caused a quintuple fatal, three-vehicle crash at the Maryland and Pennsylvania state line, authorities announced in April 2024.
The Fayette County Coroner Dr. Bob Baker previously identified the victims of the crash — all from Delaware, Ohio — as follows, as Daily Voice reported at the time:

Missing Ohio Girl May Be In Northeast Philly, State Police Say
Authorities are searching for an Ohio girl who is believed to be in Northeast Philadelphia.
Claudia Ical-Caal, 16, was last seen on Robinson Avenue in Kenton, Ohio early on Tuesday, April 16, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
She is 5-foot, 110 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a red tank top and blue jeans.
Investigators say she might be with 20-year-old Leonardo Chavez on the 6600 block of Oxford Avenue in Philadelphia, and may be "at special risk of harm or injury."

FBI Takes Down Philadelphia Drug Trafficking Ring: 17 Arrested, 43 Pounds Of Drugs Seized: AG
A months-long investigation involving the FBI led to the arrest of 17 drug traffickers in the Philadelphia area and the seizure of illegal guns, drugs, and cash.
Vincent Lofton, 60, one of the alleged heads of the trafficking network, was arrested, along with 16 other people at various locations after search warrants were executed Tuesday, April 9, Attorney General Michelle Henry, said. He was arraigned Wednesday and bail was set at $1 million.
