A crash involving a truck going off the road Friday morning initially shut down two lanes on a stretch of northbound I-684.

The right and center lanes were closed at Route 172 in Bedford (Exit 4) before reopening around 8 a.m.

It's the second crash involving a truck going off the road in that area of northbound I-684 in less than 24 hours. On Thursday afternoon, one man was hospitalized after he lost control of his tractor-trailer and wound up crashing nearly 20 feet off the roadway in Armonk, causing a large fuel spill. A motor-vehicle crash that initially blocked the right lane caused delays on a stretch of the southbound Taconic State Parkway on Friday morning.

The crash, reported at 8 a.m., was at Bear Mountain State Parkway with traffic backed up to Route 132.

The crash moved to the shoulder of the road by 9 a.m.
